POSITION SUMMARY

Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the position of Warehouse Associate is in place for the purpose of unloading trucks, inventory control, pulling orders for customers, and ensuring that all areas of production are properly staged for production. Day-to-day responsibilities include: 

  • Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all material being delivered from vendors. 
  • Maintaining the organization, maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse area, assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Working with shipping to pull individual components for customer orders. 
  • Ensuring all orders are pulled accurately and in a timely manner and staged appropriately for the production teams 
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.  

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Prior material handling work
  • prior warehouse management would be considered a plus
  • Knowledge of exterior doors would be considered a plus, but not required

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills
  • Safe working practices
  • Natural detail-orientation
  • Ability to accurately pull orders and load/unload trucks.
  • Desire to "do things right the first time"

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to operate a forklift (Training provided)
  • Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 75lbs.
