Description
Turion Space is building spacecraft for national security and in-space operations. From debris removal to space domain awareness to building a more secure space economy, we are a team focused on getting real hardware to orbit fast and scaling capability.We’re looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to help drive people strategy as we scale. This is a hands-on role supporting leaders and employees across multiple functions, blending strategic thinking with execution to support performance, development, and a strong employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across technical and business teams
- Align HR strategy with company goals and help drive key initiatives forward
- Foster collaboration, communication, and organizational alignment
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning and hiring strategy
- Support performance management, career development, and training efforts
- Help develop scalable tools and frameworks for team growth and development
- Lead efforts to build a strong, inclusive, and engaging company culture
- Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and investigations
- Act as an advocate for both the company and our people
- Maintain and improve HR policies, documentation, and compliance systems
- Partner on delivering compliance and workplace training (e.g., harassment prevention, ethics)
- Stay informed on federal and California employment laws and apply best practices
- Use HR data to assess team health and surface actionable insights
- Help build reporting tools and dashboards to increase visibility for leaders
- Support data-driven decision-making on people initiatives
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of HR experience, with direct experience in business partnering roles
- Knowledge of California labor law and employment regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels
- Analytical thinking with solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
- The ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or high-growth engineering organizations
- Prior HR experience in a startup or dynamic growth environment
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP certification or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong experience with HR analytics, dashboards, and data tools
- Comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution
