About the team: Payments Marketing Analytics & Insights is an inspiring and curious team dedicated to driving marketing strategy, optimizing campaign performance, and fueling revenue growth through data, analytics, and research.

As a member of the Strategic Data Modeling team, you will work closely with marketers, strategists and other business teams within Payments Marketing to formulate and shape our in-year and long-term strategic initiatives by employing analytical rigor, modeling expertise and creative problem-solving.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Modeling – Build and maintain advanced financial, statistical and predictive models to both analyze ongoing programs and identify net-new opportunities for marketing investment.  Examples include marketing and segment sizing, campaign value estimation, LTV modeling, next best product and revenue curve modeling. 
  • Data Analytics – Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover marketing insights from complex industry and product data sets, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Scorecard Development – Design and implement scorecards to assess program performance including metrics around acquisition, engagement and sales enablement, and ensuring alignment with/impact on organizational goals. 
  • Data Visualization – Create compelling visualizations, including presentations, dashboards, and scorecards, to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Integration – Collaborate with data team to ensure accurate and consistent integration of both external and internal data sources for marketing analyses and streamline the data transfer for operational efficiency. 
  • Analytics Innovation & Thought Leadership – Follow industry trends and analytics best practices to identify opportunities to grow team’s capabilities and scope. Contribute to building new business-critical data capabilities like Media Mix Modeling, Multi-touch Attribution Modeling, and AI and Machine Learning Integration.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance or related fields 
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in data science or analytics roles
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation and statistical analysis using Alteryx, SQL, Python or similar tools. 
  • Proven ability to think critically and translate abstract business questions into quantitative evaluations
  • Advanced knowledge and usage of Excel and PowerPoint (skills test to be administered as part of interview process)
  • Experience with financial modeling, digital marketing, and customer behavior analysis.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams to build consensus and influence action.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Master’s degree preferred in Data Science, Statistics, Finance or related fields 
  • Previous experience in a strategic role, ideally within a data-driven organization. 
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Intellectually curious and eager to learn new things with an eye towards innovation.
