RUCKUS Networks, a CommScope Business Unit is expanding, and we're looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager with the passion for New Product Introduction (NPI) and strategic supplier management to join our growing team in Sunnyvale, CA.

 

In this role you will take the Ruckus procurement sourcing strategy at the product level and lead cross functional teams to implement efficient supply chain methods related to new product introduction (NPI) and meet aggressive cost targets. You will own networking chipset and key technology sourcing strategy, work closely with product line management and engineering in chipset and critical IC selections for NPI products and make recommendations for the use of EMS/ODM partners that are aligned with overall supply chain strategy. Manage supplier relationship with some of networking and IC technology partners. Responsibilities include contract development, price negotiations, escalation management, leading business review meetings and arranging technology roadmap reviews.

How You’ll help us connect the world:

 

• Lead the development and execution of Ruckus procurement sourcing strategy in technology space and implement in new product designs.

• Collaborate with product line management, engineering partners and suppliers during product concept and development phases to strengthen relationships and ensure technology leadership, cost competitiveness, and continuity of supply while reducing business risks.

• Responsible for product Bill of Material (BOM) costs from concept to final production launch. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver ongoing cost reduction opportunities.
• Lead new product RFP and RFQ process at both chipset level and contract manufacturing level and align cross-functional teams on supplier selection.
• Own chipset and product level contracting and drive for optimal terms and conditions
• Manage key technology supplier relationship and become escalation point for engineering and supply chain related issues

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business, Engineering, or related)
• 8+ years of procurement experience in electronics industry, including 3+ years working with Electronic Manufacturer Service (EMS) provider, Original Design Manufacturer (ODM), and/or semiconductor IC manufacturers
• Willing and able to travel global and domestic as needed
• Experience leading cross functional teams and project management 
• Strong analytical capability and data driven

You Will Excite Us If You Have: 

• MBA or Masters of Engineering 
• Experience in networking industry and familiarity with wireless and switch products

 

This hybrid role requires to be 3 days a week at our Sunnyvale, CA office.  Local Candidates only .

 Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $135,600.00-$176,200.00

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
