Senior Logistics & Procurement Specialist

The Senior Logistics & Procurement Specialist will support the rapid growth of our global network infrastructure by strategically sourcing data center hardware, leading day-to-day supplier interactions, supply chain logistics, and developing processes and systems to track assets throughout the hardware lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee and execute activities related to supply, logistics, inventory controls and supply chain planning and reporting
• Collaborate with internal customers to understand and act on data center and network expansion requirements; participate in weekly network planning and capacity reviews
• Identify and engage with potential new partners while maintaining strong working relationships with existing suppliers
• Execute RFP/RFQ, contract review, negotiation, and related diligence processes to align with cost saving initiatives
• Handle hardware logistics from suppliers to data centers as well as reverse logistics / RMA maintenance shipping
• Work with other teams and vendors/suppliers in different regions and timezones
• Lead the review of Fixed assets and Construction In Progress reports and prepare the information needed for management review and sign off
• Maintain up to date reporting of equipment in warehouses and in orders with vendors
• Troubleshoot with vendors and escalate issues as required                                                                              
• Assist with biannual VAT Reclamation reports
• Work with vendors to RMA malfunctioning gear and reclaim repaired gear for future use

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours

What We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications: 

• 6+ years of direct experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, logistics coordination, supply chain and/or in project management with an emphasis in Data Center and/or Telco Operations 
• Experience with global procurement and logistics is desired
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment, and must be highly capable of prioritizing multiple projects in the context of larger cross-functional initiatives
• The ability to execute projects with minimal supervision
• Working technical knowledge of servers and networking equipment
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management processes and supply chain tools
• Detailed, organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and possess strong organizational and analytical skills
• The ability to work a hybrid role from one of our US based Fastly offices: San Francisco is preferred but we are also open to Denver or New York

Work Location & Travel Requirements

This HYBRID position will be based out of one of our Fastly offices in San Francisco, Denver, or New York. Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. 

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $113,220 to $166,500.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
