About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Data Analyst in Elizabethtown, KY.
In this role, you will monitor production deviation from standard, investigate the root cause for the deviation and correct production and inventory data in SAP, as appropriate. Reconcile and close production/period orders after all production posting is complete, monitor and balance inventories and perform routine month end close activities. This role requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. You act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, ensure, and maintain the accuracy of the production and inventory data in SAP for work process partners and business management including production quantities, raw material consumptions and inventories.
- Requires a level of independent leadership that directs the activities of others in meeting the business objectives.
- Establish consistent procedures for handling site balance allocations of raw materials and products that are part of large distribution systems.
- Review production/period order variances.
- Maintain system data used to evaluate cost variance performance over an extended period of time and determines needed updates to the SAP Bill of Material (BOM) or Routing.
- Complete inventory reconciliation to ensure all inventories in the SAP system are correct and to resolve any discrepancies.

- Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends is crucial. This includes using statistical tools and software to interpret data accurately.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with computers, data management software, and Microsoft Excel and SAP are essential for handling and manipulating data efficiently.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions is important for improving production processes and outcomes.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting is vital to maintain the integrity of the information and make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to present data findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
- Project Management: Experience in managing projects and multiple priorities, including planning, executing, and monitoring progress, is beneficial for coordinating data-related initiatives.
- Collaboration: Working effectively with diverse cross-functional teams, including production, and management, is important to achieve common goals and drive improvements.

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and one of the following are required:
- Associates degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or Finance. In lieu of a degree Dow will consider those with 3 or more years of relevant military experience.
- 5 or more years of experience working in a Chemical Manufacturing environment or in a corporate accounting or finance role.
