Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business is currently seeking applications for a Program Manager to support entrepreneurial efforts at the UC Center for Entrepreneurship. Working with the Executive Director of Entrepreneurship, the Program Manager will be responsible for planning, designing, evaluating, and coordinating Center activities particularly as they relate to the center’s external marketing communications and partnership with the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Ideal hire will have the willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekend; willingness to travel.

 

The UC Center for Entrepreneurship serves as the entrepreneurial education and commercialization arm of the University of Cincinnati supporting both academic courses and co-curricular activities around Entrepreneurship and Innovation that support student, faculty/staff, and alumni venture development. Working in collaboration with cross-campus academic units and innovation partners, the Center for Entrepreneurship serves as the gateway for UC founders to learn about and connect with resources to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset and build and launch startups and small businesses. 

Essential Functions

  • Manage, design, evaluate and present entrepreneurial programs for the center, specifically those related to the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) to create broad awareness and true consideration by CEAS students on the opportunity to participate in center programming; programming to include the semester-long Innovation Challenge program, managing the CEAS student tribunal partnership and CEAS alumni mentor network and working with the CEAS faculty fellow and center’s executive director to identify new opportunities to support CEAS students.
  • Manage the center’s marketing efforts including preparing and distributing print and digital assets and maintaining the center’s website(s); track all web and media analytics; serve as the center’s liaison to Lindner and 1819 MARCOM depts.; direct and oversee a team of student marketers to execute marketing initiatives effectively; prepare and meticulously edit reports, newsletters, and other publication materials to disseminate key information and updates about the Center's activities.
  • Manage and maintain the CEAS/Lindner budget including tracking and approving all CEAS-related expenses; work with the Lindner budget designate to make sure all expenses are reconciled in a timely fashion; submit Concur reimbursements for CEAS students engaged in Center events; implement and adhere to financial policies and procedures, ensuring responsible allocation of resources. Prepare contracts, budget requests, financial reports, and financial projections as required.
  • Oversee the center’s metrics across all center programs and maintain our center dashboard providing up-to-date reports on demand; work with DTS to maintain the center’s current attendance tracking system; serve as the point person in collecting data from the center’s affiliated clubs for metrics reporting
