POSITION SPECIFICS​

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Hockey Director for the Pegula Ice Arena that will create, implement, operate, administer, and evaluate the youth, student, and adult hockey program.

Primary responsibilities will be:

• Oversee the learn to play hockey program

• In-house hockey program

• The Student Hockey league

• Coordinate hockey tournaments for the facility

• Work with the marketing manager of the facility to implement a marketing and promotions strategy for the program

• Liaison with the local amateur and hockey associations

• Develop and implement on and off ice specialty programs and clinics

• Hire, train, and evaluate the hockey staff of the facility

• Management and oversight of the facility’s hockey budget

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

 

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

 

 

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $42,100.00 - $61,000.00.
