Transportation Assistant- Facilities
One Full-time Position. 32+ hours per week.
8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays required.
Hiring range: $19.00 - $20.71 / hr., depending upon experience

Minimum Requirements
Required:
• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Minimum age 21.
Preferred:
• 1-2 Years Fleet maintenance experience
• 6 months work experience in vehicle maintenance. (e.g., change light bulbs, inflate tires, check oil and other fluids)
• Working experience and knowledge of Fleet software programs.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for assuring the timely repair and maintenance of Ariel Western Slope fleet vehicles, assuring the safety of agency vehicles and their usage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Recognize and report potential fleet issues to the Operations Manager. This includes repairs, service needs, scheduling conflicts, and obtaining approvals for repairs.
2. Respond to vehicle, trailer and work crew equipment maintenance and repair requests in a timely manner, monitor routine maintenance schedules, and coordinate maintenance repairs.
3. Assure Day Program and other Ariel programs have adequate access to vehicles and equipment to perform daily operations. Working closely with program staff to ensure availability.
4. Manage tracking of vehicle and equipment maintenance requests, invoices, mileage logs, safety checks, and cleaning schedules.
5. Weekly inspection of vehicles to ensure safety, inspections entered and updated in Fleetio Software, keeping it current and up to date.
6. Maintain light maintenance; checking fluids and changing light bulbs.
7. Assist manager in vehicle registrations and cleaning as needed.
8. Assist in driving and picking up vehicles for repairs. This may require some weekends, but notice will be given.
9. Complete required documentation daily including Fleetio Fleet software and ensure that state mandated inspections occur timely with documentation from accredited Vendor. Example Les Swab.
10. Communicate effectively and efficiently with other team members, Leads, Supervisors, Managers, and
other agency administration as needed.
11. Actively participate in supervision, training, community, and team meetings.
12. Follow all safety procedures and agency policies.
13. Maintain professional boundaries while establishing trustworthy and beneficial relationships.
14. Represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
15. Assist with Facilities Maintenance department duties as needed.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Knowledge of vehicle, trailer and work crew equipment maintenance and repair.
2. Great customer service skills in handling problems and responding positively.
3. Knowledge of Adult Services Medicaid Waiver transportation regulations.
4. Knowledge of community resources regarding vehicle repair, maintenance, and purchasing.
5. Skilled in problem-solving and achieving positive outcomes.
6. Skilling in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities and changes with professionalism.
7. Ability to be flexible and change direction rapidly, with a positive attitude.
