Lead Analyst Clinical Info Sys (Epic Certified)The Epic Lead Analyst is responsible for activities related to the selection, design, implementation, support, and maintenance of clinical information systems supporting the patient care activities of Bronson Healthcare Group. The Epic Lead Analyst is responsible for oversight of multiple project components by planning, executing, and finalize projects according to timeline and budget relating to implementing clinical applications. The Epic Lead Analyst is responsible for the documentation, communication of application components, and coordination within their team and with other IT, Customer and Vendor teams. The Epic Lead Analyst is responsible for issue tracking and escalation, risk identification and management, and process identification and improvement relating to application components and tasks. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Bachelor's degree preferred
3 years of successful progressive experience in the area of information systems or equivalent applicable experience required
3 years of successful project management experience preferred
Current clinical licensing and board certification required, if applicable.
Applicable Epic Application Certification (e.g. Inpatient, Ambulatory, etc.) required or must
complete certification within 6 months of hire.
PMP or CPHIMS preferred, not required
• Working knowledge of healthcare operations in inpatient and/or ambulatory setting required
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management software
• Demonstrated experience in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and project change management techniques
• Ability to bring multiple concurrent assignments to satisfactory conclusion according to pre-defined parameters, with positive performance metrics
• Ability to create system documentation, project plans, test scripts, and education materials
• Familiarity of end user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the applications in a healthcare delivery environment
• Demonstrated experience in applying process improvement methodologies to projects
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments
• Demonstrated ability to move people to action without direct organizational control
• Ability to perform financial analysis as needed
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required
• Self-confidence in interpersonal relationships with administrators, physicians, colleagues and staff is necessary
• Demonstrated ability to write in a clear and concise manner is required
• Must have skill in developing and presenting formal presentations to groups
• Excellent customer service skills are necessary for initiation, recommendation, implementation, and follow-up of assigned projects
Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time.
The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.
• Responsible for oversight of EHR project components ranging in scope from low complexity to high-complexity and single department to enterprise-wide
• Creates, monitors, and updates project plans
• Perform in depth analysis of flow, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of EHR.
• Actively participate in defining processes to assist the team and customer in conducting the operational review and redesign to enable technology implementation.
• Coordinate all follow up activities and communicate results to project team.
• Document all criteria, definitions and decisions made during application set up.
• Provide consultation and training support during the application and integration training.
• Provide testing and auditing support during each phase of the implementation and parallel processing.
