The Phantom Works Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) is seeking a Systems Engineers to support proprietary development efforts in Berkeley, MO.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead and Senior Level Phantom Works Systems Engineer.
The Systems Engineer applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design and develop advanced systems. The selected individual will evaluate customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical and functional architectures and interfaces. Collaboratively develops and models advanced architectures. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of architecture development processes and tools. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Leads system architects, engineering SMEs and other stakeholders in implementing, developing and managing the MBSE approach for the program, in coordination with the System Engineering team and program leadership. The ability to work and lead in a collaborative team environment on-site with internal and external stakeholders will be imperative to this role. The selected individual will work in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing architectures to meet project/program commitments, including support of documentation, deliveries and customer reviews
Leverage Systems Engineering experience to shape, implement, maintain, and refine the systems engineering approach
Lead the program in implementing MBSE as part of digital engineering to meet customer expectations
Support planning and execution of cross-functional program configuration and data management processes
Lead Systems Engineering efforts such as system architecture, trade studies, program planning, interfaces management, risk management and overall integration
Support execution of Phantom Works systems engineering initiatives and advocate for program needs in planning
Guide the integration of systems engineering, particularly MBSE, into the Digital Engineering Ecosystem to establish digital models as an integral part of the technical baseline
Establish, maintain, and demonstrate traceability between the requirements, analysis, and design being developed in the Digital Systems Models within the DE Ecosystem
Support/Lead Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts within Phantom Works
Identify and manage program technical metrics
Serve as a Technical Lead Engineer through guiding and coaching less experienced systems engineers
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
5 or more years of systems engineering experience
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (i.e. Teamcenter Systems Engineering, Cameo, etc.)
(Level 5): 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Education/Experience:
(Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
