The Role:
ElevateBio is looking for a Director, Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts. This is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of the growth, development, and expansion our BaseCamp organization. ElevateBio BaseCamp® is our genetic medicine cGMP manufacturing and process development business that offers end-to-end capabilities for cell and gene therapies for our partners and internal programs. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships in support of our BaseCamp team, while driving the efficient and effective delivery of key People & Culture projects, initiatives, and objectives. The individual has experience in successfully partnering with employees and leaders to develop and maintain effective and impactful teams. The primary purpose of this role is to partner with leadership and the entire team at BaseCamp, all while ensuring we deliver against the business and people objectives of the company while promoting a top-notch people experience.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate and create a partnership with the business to positively impact employee engagement, development, and retention.
- Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers regarding HR practices, People related systems, employee relations, and professional development.
- Partner with business leaders on organizational design, building impactful and effective teams, people development, talent & performance management, and how to properly navigate difficult situations.
- Thought partner to the BaseCamp leadership team to provide direction, develop, and deliver on people related initiatives, talent management, and enhancing overall organizational effectiveness.
- Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to derive insights on people trends to recommend, implement, and manage projects or programs.
- Advocate and influence to build an inclusive and equitable culture through a diverse and high performing team.
- Collaborate with teams in all locations to ensure a consistent employee and business experience is maintained.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Strong sense of empathy and understanding of the needs of a diverse group of people.
- Prior experience working in the technology, biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Proven ability to influence and build strong partnerships with senior leaders and all employee populations
- Sound judgment to consider broader longer-term impact of people decisions when responding to business needs.
- Experience developing action plans around employee coaching, talent management, team effectiveness, and organizational design efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex issues, and adjust to shifting priorities of a growing organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage in transparent communication.
