Data Architect with Cloud & AI experience

We currently have a career opportunity for a Data Architect to join our Data & Analytics Team.  This position can be located anywhere in the US and work remotely with light travel.

As a Data Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining the scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third-party services, and designing & developing complex features for clients' business needs.

The Data Architect will provide technology direction, ensure project implementation compliance, and utilize technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions.  You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, and participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

Job Overview:

The role of this Data Architect is for individuals passionate about identifying and delivering the right Business solution for each client using data technologies, Gen AI, AI/ML, etc.  & to understand our customer's needs, processes, and pain points to determine the success factors and evaluation criteria that will be needed to measure the effectiveness.

The Data Architect will be involved in the strategic planning of an engagement or helping the client make decisions about their future vision. Once the project has begun, will be responsible for the execution of our established methodology, working with the customer and/or the team's data engineer to identify data ingestion and transformation needs, exploration of the data and reporting findings, modeling, and evaluation of training iterations. It is a key part of the role to be able to explain in non-technical terms the chosen modeling approach and findings from data exploration or training results.

• Lead delivery teams as a technical leader - SME
• Work with multiple business units within Perficient
• Lead complex client engagement delivery, open with ambiguity and little direction.
• Plan and lead workshops with client teams to understand the current landscape, requirements, and constraints and map to the latest technology products and platforms to come up with future architecture.
• Design and lead the development of data assets as part of the delivery.
• Assist senior leadership in creating phased implementation roadmaps from scope and resource perspectives.
• Articulate complex architectures for a variety of client teams, both technical and non-technical, and build
  consensus.
• Learn new technologies and platforms quickly and keep experience relevant to clients’ needs.
• Lead teams based on global locations in multiple time zones.
• Develop thought leadership material to establish Perficient as an authority on enterprise architecture topics
  at industry forums, conferences, etc.
• Take ownership of solutions and teams.

• Strong experience data architectures in multiple domains
• Strong experience with multiple industry-specific tools and technologies
• Expertise in at least two hyperscaler technologies – AWS, Azure, GCP
• Expertise in cloud-based data warehouse and/or Lakehouse technology platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
• Strong experience in the latest data trends and associated technologies including, but not limited to, Data Quality, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Master Data Management
• Experience in multiple modern programming languages
• Experience with virtualization platforms
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies
• Expertise in building solutions from scratch as well as modernizing legacy architectures
• Ability to communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical users at various levels – typically department directors to C-Suite
• Experience with both on-premises and cloud technologies and platforms
• Expertise in architecting solutions with multiple disciplines – performance, scalability, security
• Crisp and clear communication – both verbal and written
• Ability to create strong presentations using various tools
• Knowledge of up-and-coming AI tools and technologies and industry trends
