Data Services Lead

At Qu, we help restaurant brands harness the power of their data. As the data services branch of the company, we work at the intersection of data strategy, analytics, and scalable solutions—building tools and insights that drive action for fast casual and QSR clients.

We’re looking for a Data & Insights Lead to drive client-facing projects and lead delivery of analytics solutions. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our clients’ goals and our technical team—translating needs into deliverables, managing timelines, and helping shape strategy and execution.

This is the perfect role for someone who loves using data to solve real business problems, enjoys client relationships, and can write a solid SQL query—but doesn’t want to be buried in pipelines all day.

At Qu you will:

• Client Strategy & Delivery
• • Lead day-to-day client communication and project management for analytics engagements
  • Translate business needs into clear analytics requirements and project scopes
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to client stakeholders
• Data Exploration & Analytics
• • Write and optimize SQL and/or R/Python scripts for exploratory analysis and dashboard-ready datasets
  • Build simple-to-intermediate dashboards or visualizations (Looker, Power BI, etc.)
  • Highlight insights and add business context to data for clients
  • QA and interpret outputs produced by technical team members
• Team Leadership & Coordination
• • Partner with analytics engineers and analysts to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Guide prioritization, check work for alignment, and troubleshoot blockers
  • Contribute to process improvement, documentation, and internal knowledge building

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years in analytics consulting, business intelligence, or data strategy roles
• Experience in a client-facing role— agency or consulting background is a must
• Strong SQL skills; proficiency in R or Python for basic analysis and automation
• Strong communicator—able to explain technical findings to business audiences
• Project management skills with ability to juggle multiple clients or workstreams
• Familiarity with modern data stack (Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, Looker, etc.)
• A collaborative, get-it-done attitude and a love of learning on the fly
