Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Permits, Rentals and Concessions, this position is responsible for managing and coordinating complex projects with a high level of professional expertise. Oversees the procurement process on behalf of the Department from concept to execution, including writing and editing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and contracts in addition to working with procurement to post and award. Performs detailed analysis on a wide range of management, administrative and financial activities and proposals. Works with the Director and managerial staff to develop and analyze the Department’s annual operating budget and prepares budget documents with supporting data for the Finance team. Prepares board items for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County’s Board of Commissioners. Additional responsibilities include working with the department’s management team to coordinate service delivery requests, perform technical implementations, and perform special projects/assignments.
Typical Duties
Initiates, drafts and executes RFP, contracts and intergovernmental agreements. Creates and execute community engagement plans to strengthen relationships with stakeholders
Conducts financial analysis, audits, and processes invoice payments for the department.
Conducts meetings, briefings, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
Negotiates and develops contractual terms both revenue-generating and non-revenue-generating contracts.
