Overview

The US Systematic Credit Trading effort (aka the Credit Portfolio/ETF/Algorithmic Trading desk) is part of Credit Flow Trading, sitting within the Global Financing & Credit Trading business unit. The trading desk acts as a market maker in Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate Bonds as well as Portfolios and ETFs including those bonds to provide liquidity and investment solutions to our clients. Among other responsibilities, you will lead the team which Algorithmically trades US Corporate Credit Bond, trades US Credit ETFs and markets and trades Portfolios of Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate Bonds as well as help lead the ongoing development of systems and processes to support the US Credit Portfolio/ETF/ Algorithmic Trading activity.

What You’ll Do

  • Help drive the growth of our Credit PTF/ETF/Algo franchise by expanding the activity through increased product capabilities and through a deepening and broadening of client penetration

  • Oversee the modeling and statistical analysis of trading opportunities for the desk & our clients

  • Contribute to the management of Algorithmic trading of Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate Bonds by the team 

  • Work closely with other Deutsche Bank traders to optimize and manage risk positioning in trading books across US Credit Flow Trading

  • Leverage the Institutional Client Group Credit Sales to support an active feedback loop with our clients

  • Provide thought leadership and support for Systematic Credit Trading efforts generally in the region, including but not limited to Collateralized Loan Obligation Optimization and Loan Portfolio Trading initiatives

How You’ll Lead

  • Manage a team of 4-6 Credit Portfolio/ETF/Algorithmic Trading professionals including training junior staff on the desk

  • Contribute to Deutsche Bank’s global Systematic Credit strategy, in partnership with global colleagues

  • Building the Deutsche Bank Credit franchise with clients & capturing market share

Skills You’ll Need

  • Previous experience as a credit quant either on the buy/sell side

  • Experience leading and developing quantitative Credit modelers and/or traders

  • Existing relationships with Systematic credit market participants

  • History of strong risk management and identifying profitable trading opportunities

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
