SUMMARY
Mortenson’s Power Delivery Services is currently seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler I and II with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This individual will perform routine oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.
This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities
Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
Ensure corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and all project-related activities comply
Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling team
Coach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents
Establish and nurture teamwork environment
Ensure crews have resources and support
Provide work direction and performance evaluations
Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if needed
Develop leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities
Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project site
Manage open shop and union issues
QUALIFICATIONS
Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices and company software
Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing
Shown ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems on complex projects
Strong plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skills
Basic knowledge of project management, contracts and buyout
Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies
Strong organization and team skills
Basic knowledge of cost and resource loaded schedules
Basic knowledge of claims avoidance and resolution techniques
Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashion
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel may be required based on operating group
Senior Scheduler I
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field
Minimum of four (4) years construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
Experience as a project engineer i
