The Director, Non-Product Supply Chain will report to the  VP of Global Supply Chain and lead the global team responsible for strategic sourcing, commodity management, and procurement of Non-Product goods and services, totaling billions of dollars annually. Goods and services range from shop consumables and capital machinery to consulting services and outsourced labor.  

The Director, Non-Product Supply Chain role is both exciting & challenging. This position is a focal point for leaders across Pratt & Whitney and also engages collaboratively with Non-Product Supply Chain leaders, category managers, strategic sourcing and procurement professionals across Raytheon Technologies (RTX). RTX is the parent company of Pratt & Whitney and also consists of Collins Aerospace, and legacy Raytheon.

In this role, you will have the overall responsibility for developing and executing strategies to drive cost reduction, quality, and delivery performance of indirect goods and services to ensure customer requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach, mentor and lead a globally dispersed team of Supply Chain professionals – consisting of Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Management and Procurement & Customer Management organizations
  • Lead One Company Non-Product Supply Chain initiatives
  • Deliver planned annual cost savings through P&W projects and RTX synergy initiatives
  • Provide strategic recommendations to all levels of management
  • Ensure the successful execution of supply chain initiatives to support P&W transformation projects – source and procure goods and services necessary to design, continue to build P&W’s new turbine airfoil facility in Asheville, and P&W’s Office of the Future
  • P&W Lead on RTX’s Non-Product Supply Chain Leadership Council and Passport Review Board
  • Foster RTX Corporate & Inter-divisional Supply Chain relationships
  • Lead P&W’s Non-Product Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing Reviews (SSR)
  • Actively participate and support supplier Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and Raytheon Technologies’ SSR, Passport, Council, and Synergy meetings
  • Lead, co-lead, and/or support negotiations with P&W and Raytheon Technologies’ strategic suppliers, ensuring all aspects of business plans and pricing are addressed, while commercial risk is minimized, cost of ownership is lowered, and customer expectations are met.
  • Measure Key Performance Indicators to ensure continued progress toward achieving annual goals
  • Drive continuous improvement of Non-Product Strategic Sourcing and Procurement processes leveraging CORE.
  • Improve our connectivity with remote sites to ensure consistency in procedures, talent development, and contracting for non-product goods and services
  • Work closely with P&W Legal to resolve contract disputes and/or commercial issues related to the agreements
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers - managing the escalation process for customer and supplier issues
  • Ensure compliance with ethics and procurement policies and procedures
  • Execute sourcing and procurement strategies - ensuring proposals, contract terms and conditions, statements of work, etc., align and support sourcing strategies, before approving purchase orders
