About the role
Last Energy seeks an International Affairs Associate to provide tactical support and oversee the successful coordination of international projects and initiatives. This role will involve collaborating closely with department leaders, driving project activities, and ensuring clear communication within the organization about international progress. This role will report directly to the Director of International Affairs in Last Energy's Washington, DC headquarters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support coordination and communication of project activities between the Director of International Affairs and department leaders, international staff, and cross-functional teams to ensure all internal stakeholders are aligned with the right priorities
- Monitor project progress, tracking the completion of tasks and ensuring that projects are on track, flagging areas of timeline risk
- Develop comprehensive project schedules and timelines, utilizing advanced project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to track progress toward key milestones and deliverables
- Act as a central point of contact for project communications, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept up-to-date on project status and any issues or risks that ariseIdentify and escalate project risks, suggesting risk mitigation strategies and swiftly resolving any challenges that may arise
- Maintain country-level documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes
- Work cross-functionally with department leaders across the organization, building relationships and ensuring that their needs are understood and addressed
- Make recommendations for process improvements when there are lapses in the quality of work
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Demonstrated interest in international policy and market development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and external partners
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and eager learner, striving to take on new challenges and responsibilities
- Experience with project management principles is a plus
