Job Description:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective handling of warranty claims for our company's equipment. You will be responsible for coordinating warranty information, assessing claims, and facilitating policy settlements for equipment that does not meet the required specifications and Mesa standards. Your primary duties will include serving as a point of contact for individuals submitting warranty claims due to non-conformity, accurately updating the system of record regarding the defective equipment, organizing and completing paperwork related to warranty claims, and ensuring accurate filing and storage of records for future reference. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with accounting teams to ensure timely payment for commissioned work and liaise with engineering or technical teams to schedule necessary work as part of a warranty claim. You will also be responsible for arranging delivery of parts or replacement items when required and scheduling service or repair appointments as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinates warranty information and establish policy settlements for equipment out of warranty.
- Being a point of contact for those who have sent in warranty claims.
- Assessing and then organizing and filling out paperwork pertaining to warranty claims.
- Ensuring correct filing and storage of paperwork and records in case it is needed at a later date.
- Liaising with accounting teams to ensure payment is received for any credits, refunds, part payments, etc.,
- Being in contact with any engineering or technical teams to schedule work carried out as part of a warranty claim.
- Arranging for delivery of parts or replacement items if a warranty claim requires it.
- Scheduling service or repair appointments.
- Review technical drawings and work orders to ensure adherence to quality requirements in order to validate the non-conformity.
- Accurately updating the systems of record for all defective parts.
- Building relationships with vendors through email, phone or face-to-face in order to establish a good repore.
- Following up on all outstanding warranty claims through completion of disposition.
- Ability to travel to other facilities, as needed, in order to inspect, troubleshoot and resolve quality concerns and processes.
