Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall quality, improvement, execution, and enforcement of the Configuration Management process. 
  • Responsible for continual review and improvement of the Configuration management procedure and work instructions
  • Develop, document, maintain, and build upon existing configuration management procedures working within global IT configuration management policies and in coordination with OT Change Management
  • Develop an enterprise agile configuration management process that complies with cybersecurity and IT best practices.
  • Establish automated procedures for verifying the accuracy of configuration items, adherence to the configuration management process, and identifying process deficiencies.
  • Select, install, and maintain configuration management tools.
  • Establish, update, and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Responsible for ensuring CMDB is updated as changes occur and works with OT infrastructure and applications teams to maintain the accuracy of the CMDB.
  • Responsible for administering the configuration management software (currently Change Gear and moving to ServiceNow)
  • Assists auditors with auditing the activities of the Configuration Management function for compliance with established procedures and OT control framework; ensures corrective actions and remediation actions are implemented.
  • Ensures Quality of process and tools; defines and monitors Key Performance Indicators and drives improvements in process, methods, and outcomes.
  • Supports and adheres to the Company’s core values.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
  • Supports and adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
  • Represent the Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.

 

 

Education & Experience

  • Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ to 7

 

Desired Education/Experience:

 

Required/Desired Certifications:  ITIL Foundations preferred.

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 5-8 years technical experience - preferably in a Configuration Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) role.
  • 3-5 years of ServiceNow experience
  • Experience with Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Service Mapping and/or Cloud Discovery
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and how to store this data in ServiceNow CMDB
  • Solid understanding of ITIL framework and demonstrated proficiency in the ITIL processes.
  • General understanding of technologies and cloud services architecture, specifically Google Cloud
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Accustomed to working in an environment driven by high standards for service and system delivery.
  • Uses leadership skills to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and practical ways to satisfy customer needs.
  • Ability to examine a change request to identify business service, system, and/or customer impacts.
  • Highly adaptable in changing environments
  • Ability to work within a diverse team.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to plan and maintain schedules.
  • Leads effective meetings to reach the objectives and goals of the process.
  • Provides training for various levels within the company.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.
