Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Full-Time Hospitalist Physician (Nocturnist) to join our team at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Virginia.
Position Overview: Riverside Walter Reed Hospital is looking for a Hospitalist (Nocturnist) to join our team. The ideal candidate will embrace our mission to care for others as we would care for those we love. You should be passionate about supporting our communities, whether through investing in new facilities and technology for underserved areas or providing an extra dose of compassion to a patient in need.
Role Responsibilities:
- Specialize in internal medicine and be certified in hospital medicine.
- Confine your practice within a hospital setting, focusing on medical issues relevant to your field.
- Take over in-hospital care for our patients, consulting health records and diagnoses from the patient’s primary care physician.
- Serve as the sole provider during the patient’s hospital stay, coordinating their care.

Education/Qualification:
- MD or DO or Equivalent Foreign Diploma
Training:
- Internal Medicine Residency from an ACGME accredited training program
- Family Medicine Residency with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hospitalist
- Family Medicine Residency with Hospital Medicine Fellowship
Certification(s) and License(s):
- Eligible for/Current VA Medical License
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (if within 3 years of completing residency) by ABIM/ABFM
- DEA
