We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead Digital Technology transformation projects within Avio Aero Global Supply Chain (GSC). This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and aligning DT strategies with Business objectives, while maintaining a strong focus on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost). The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of GSC processes, technical expertise in IT systems, and proven leadership skills to collaborate across teams and deliver impactful solutions.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Be the reference point for Supply Chain Stakeholders, build trustworthy relationships with them, work to ensure alignment of the digital solutions with the overall strategy and key Business processes requirements

• Develop and implement IT strategies that support GSC goals partnering with the Leadership and Business teams

• Closely collaborate with Supply Chain teams to understand their needs, provide appropriate IT solutions, identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance production efficiency and product quality and ensure IT initiatives support their objectives

• Bring expertise and coordinate team resources and budget to lead project activities

• Coach/mentor team resources promoting and sustaining their growth and development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration

• Be proactive in exploring alternate technology and be able to make technology choices based on experience and impact analysis

• Ensure IT systems and infrastructure are aligned with Business objectives, industry standards and regulatory requirements

• Be accountable for IT operational excellence and ensure compliance to GE Aerospace standards and practices

• Focus on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Demonstrated process/domain expertise of Supply Chain processes

• Proven experience in IT Leadership roles

• Established project management and organizational abilities with strong knowledge of the IT application development lifecycle and IT best practices

• Strong Customer orientation, problem-solving skills and continuous improvement attitude

• Proven expertise with Supply Chain management platforms (i.e., ERP, MES, WMS)

• Excellent team working attitude and inclusiveness

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Expertise with operating in a complex environment (multi-business, extended teams distributed across multiple geographies)

• Ability to navigate through ambiguity and to adapt to changes

• Fluent Italian and good English knowledge (written and spoken) 

• Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired characteristics

• PMP certification

• Competencies in Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Able to use Lean tools and drive change

• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
