With its subsidiary CEVA Logistics, a world leader in logistics, and its air freight division CMA CGM AIR CARGO, the CMA CGM Group is continually innovating to offer its customers a complete and increasingly efficient range of new shipping, land, air and logistics solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p>Committed to the energy transition in shipping, and a pioneer in the use of alternative fuels, the CMA CGM Group has set a target to become Net Zero Carbon by 2050.</p> <p> </p> <p>Through the CMA CGM Foundation, the Group acts in humanitarian crises that require an emergency response by mobilizing the Group’s shipping and logistics expertise to bring humanitarian supplies around the world.</p> <p> </p> <p>Present in 160 countries through its network of more than 400 offices and 750 warehouses, the Group employs more than 155,000 people worldwide, including 4,000 in Marseilles where its head office is located.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>JOB PURPOSE </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>The Country Manager (CMA CGM Ireland) is responsible for the ongoing growth and development of the CMA CGM business activities in Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, leading on the strategy and activities to drive the growth of the business activity in all trade areas that CMA CGM are actively engaged in. </li> <li>The Country Manager will ensure an effective local strategy is in place and understood across the Ireland agency, team which fully supports the UK &amp; Ireland’s growth and strategy, as well as the CMA CGM Group’s global growth and development aspirations.</li> <li>You will ensure that a relentless focus on revenue, cost and efficiency is embedded across the agency, working extremely closely with all relevant stakeholders in the UK, Europe, Head Office and across the CMA CGM global network.</li> <li>The Country Manager will represent the Ireland agency both internally and externally with key customers and service providers, ensuring the Groups interests are always maintained and protected. </li> <li>Whilst ensuring that the agency is managed in accordance with the Group’s corporate policies and regulatory frameworks, the Country Manager will ensure full controls are in place across all business activities and ensure all risks are appropriately managed and controlled</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><br/> MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>In alignment with the UK&amp;I General Manager, define and implement the local strategy to support business growth and development.</li> <li>Ensure effective strategies are implemented to deliver agreed and targeted volume targets.  </li> <li>Ensure strong commercial, financial and operational management structures and teams are in place.</li> <li>Maintain a visible profile internally and externally, representing the agency with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers</li> <li>In conjunction with UK&amp;I General Manager and UK Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensure effective integration of the UK&amp;I agency with the global CMA CGM Network </li> <li>Act as key member of the UK ELT, contributing to the smooth functioning of this team to support organisational targets</li> <li>Ensure the Ireland Agency team is correctly resourced to deliver day-to-day workload and developments, whilst ensuring levels of staff attrition are controlled and that appropriate engagement initiatives are in place to maintain the hughest possible levels of morale across the team</li> <li>Ensure that employee capability remains a prioritity, championing a culture of continuous development and ensuring provisoin of relevant training opportunities are available.</li> <li>Ensure customers are receiving appropriate levels of external sales coverage, as well as receiving highest possible service levels are delivered, reflecting the groups high standards of customer service and service delivery</li> <li>Oversee and accountable for ensuring all local fiscal and legal obligations are fully met</li> <li>Ensure strong relationships are maintained with all suppliers while always ensuring the groups interests are been served and protected.</li> <li>Support all local and global rate negotaions with major suppliers ensuring the most competitive agreements possible are in place. Support all cost reductions drives and ensure the associated levels of reporting are submitted through to global head office.</li> <li>Define and execute scope of business travel expectations for Ireland agency, in accordance with group policies. </li> <li>Acting as Bank Signatory where required. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Proven strategic leadership experience in the Shipping &amp; Logistics industry  </li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to develop and manage effective working
