We're big enough to have the resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact.</p><p>We're looking for an experienced <strong>HR Business Partner</strong> to lead employee relations and Works Council engagement across France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.</p>

<p>In this strategic role, you'll build strong partnerships with business leaders and external stakeholders, navigate complex ER cases, and become the go-to advisor on Works Council and trade union matters.</p>
<p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p>
<p> <strong>Works Councils & Employee Representation (60%)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build and manage strong relationships with <strong>French and German Works Councils</strong></li>
<li>Lead negotiations, draft agreements and ensure compliance with local labor law</li>
<li>Organize and chair Works Council meetings, plan the 2026 elections</li>
<li>Act as the trusted advisor on unions and employee representation</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>External Partners & Regulatory Liaison (10%)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Represent Groupon with authorities and third-party agencies (e.g. Arboned in NL)</li>
<li>Provide documentation for audits and regulatory reviews</li>
<li>Advise on payroll and statutory benefits (e.g. Complément 1/10e in France)</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Employee Relations & Compliance (30%)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage complex ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence)</li>
<li>Coach and guide managers on people-related matters</li>
<li>Support restructuring and redundancy processes</li>
<li>Spot ER trends and turn insights into action for HR and business leaders</li>
<li>Partner with Legal & Compliance on investigations and policy updates</li>
<li>Drive ER policies, training, and whistleblower case management</li>
<li>Contribute to cross-border HR projects and initiatives</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>We'd love to meet you if you have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>3 - 5 years</strong> in HR Business Partner or Employee Relations roles with demonstrated <strong>senior-level experience</strong></li>
<li>Strong knowledge of French or German labor law</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Works Councils and unions</li>
<li>Background in restructuring/redundancy processes</li>
<li><strong>Proven track record of ownership and independent decision-making</strong> in complex, ambiguous situations</li>
<li><strong>Comfort using AI tools</strong> to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in your daily work</li>
<li><strong>A challenger mindset</strong> – you question the status quo and drive process improvements</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a <strong>fast-paced, transformational environment</strong> where agility is key</li>
<li>Master's degree in HR, Law, or related field</li>
<li>Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and independence</li>
<li>Experience in a global or matrixed organization is a plus</li>
<li>Fluent in English & French (German is a strong advantage)</li>
