Job Summary:The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an individual to perform professional level duties and functions provided in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program (RSAT). This position also will be responsible for providing direct support services to inmates in the RSAT program at the Arizona State Prison Complex – Perryville. Apply today!
Job Duties:- Provides direct peer support services to inmates in the RSAT program, these services will include 1:1 mentoring, psycho-educational groups, whole action management planning, aftercare planning, and follow up on missed appointments
- Documents services rendered by completing progress notes and other required clinical paperwork
- Coordinates with ADCRR staff, community agencies, contracted mental health provider, and sponsoring agency to ensures peer support services are provided and maintained
- Provides technical assistance or program guidance
- Maintains tracking systems to keep track of services rendered
- Develops forms for use in the program
- Prepares analyses and reports
- Attends meetings, completes special projects
- Drives on state business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge of:
- Addiction treatment practices and protocol for peer support services
- Adult learning processes, ADCRR policies and procedures
- Security practices
- Personal computer and various software
- English language including grammar and spelling
Skill in:
- Verbal and written communication
- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
- Organization and time management
- Active listening, computer operation
- Collecting and maintaining accurate data/documentation and clinical record documentation
Ability to:
- Interact with a diverse group of people
- Contribute to others recovery skill sets through mentoring
- Operate a computer and use various types of software
- Deliver program curriculum to inmate participants in a classroom environment
- Interact professionally with staff, inmates and the public
- Work in a secure prison/correctional environment, collect and maintain data
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports
- Prefer three (3) to five (5) year experience as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist
Pre-Employment Requirements:Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test*.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
