Human Resources Department 

The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as New Site Development, Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Tech & Systems, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our HR team is distinguished by its proactive and strategic approach. Unlike in many organizations where HR functions are limited to administrative oversight, our HR professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our HR team can align long-term organizational sustainability with innovative HR practices and cost-effective strategies. Position Overview 

This role can be based in Ashburn, VA; in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

The Director of Operational Excellence and Compliance plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization's operational practices align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role will lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive compliance and operational excellence programs. This role is pivotal in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and compliance across all departments. 

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Legal, Operations, and IT, to design and deliver training programs that enhance compliance awareness and operational effectiveness. Additionally, you will oversee audits, risk assessments, and the development of strategies to mitigate operational risks while driving adherence to internal policies and external regulations. 

Essential Job Functions 

Operational Excellence Leadership: 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for operational excellence within the organization. 

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and efficiency across departments. 

• Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service quality. 

• Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of operational practices with company goals and objectives. 

Compliance Management: 

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations. 

• Oversee the creation and delivery of compliance training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and ethical standards. 

• Monitor and assess compliance with industry regulations and company policies, providing regular reports to senior management.
