Corporate Accountant - Thermoformed & Flexible Packaging (TFP)

In order to support a newly formed global packaging company with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion, we are seeking a Corporate Accountant to support TOPPAN Packing Americas’ accounting and compliance functions.
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Corporate Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, consolidation accounting, technical accounting research, and maintaining strong internal controls. The role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of GAAP and corporate financial processes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation Accounting
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the parent corporation.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
- Coordinate with subsidiaries to ensure consistent accounting policies and reporting.
Technical Accounting & Compliance
- Research and analyze complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on accounting policies and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of white papers and technical accounting memos.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Serve as a key liaison for external auditors, ensuring timely completion of annual audits.
- Support internal financial controls and implement best practices to enhance financial accuracy.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to strengthen governance and risk management frameworks
This position will be located out of our Charlotte, NC office
We’d love to hear from you if:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a large corporate or public accounting firm (Big 4 experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial consolidations, and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools (including OneStream).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $90,000 to $105,000
