Concessions Management Specialist (Seasonal)

To qualify for this position at the GS- 07 level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Researching concessions information and demonstrated experience identifying, interpreting, and applying business principles, regulations and practices associated with federal, state or local government real estate concessions transactions; providing advice on business and real estate -related concepts and issues. Applying laws and regulations and policies pertaining to business management considerations for commercial services and third party use of federal real property. Issuing and administering legal authorizations for commercial services and permitting activities. Navigating varying legal authorizations accounting for financial transactions; facilitating condition assessments necessary for proposed use of park facilities. NOTE: You must include hours worked per week and month/year dates on your resume. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one full year of graduate level education (18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours) with a major study in a field such as business administration, finance, accounting, contracting, hospitality, park and recreation management, or other closely related subjects related to the work of this position. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. For example, six months of specialized experience (50% of the experience requirement), and 14 semester hours of 21 quarter hours of graduate level college study in an accredited institution (50% of the qualifying education). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
