Our Data team is working closely with our Product and Engineering teams, and they ensure the seamless flow of information that empowers our teams to make strategic decisions. </p><p>We are currently in search of a <strong>Senior </strong><strong>Data Engineer</strong> who will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining our data architecture and flows, and optimizing data warehouse and pipeline. In this role, you will be working with agile methodologies and your contributions will have immediate impact on the scalability, efficiency, and reliability of our data infrastructure, influencing day-to-day decisions at efood. </p><p> </p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Design, deploy and manage infrastructure components and systems of the data platform</p></li><li><p>Design and maintain data warehouse (data preparation, data warehousing, reporting, analytics &amp; data exploration and information delivery)</p></li><li><p>Support and maintain the data foundation that the reporting layer and dashboards rely on</p></li><li><p>Build, maintain, and deploy data products for analytics and data science teams on cloud platforms</p></li><li><p>Prepare high-level ETL mapping specifications</p></li><li><p>Develop complex code data scripts (usually in Python or  SQL) to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.</p></li><li><p>Act across all development levels - from data acquisition and manipulations to the solution deployment and ongoing support</p></li><li><p>Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security and compliance</p></li><li><p>Resolve end user reporting problems through collaboration with stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot technical issues and provide administrative support for the Business Intelligence toolbox</p></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li><p>University/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science</p></li><li><p>At least 5 years experience in a relevant position</p></li><li><p>Understanding and implementation experience with both relational and data warehousing models</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of data analysis, data transformation, conceptual data modeling, meta-data management, data mart schemas for optimal performance of business intelligence solutions</p></li><li><p>Strong programming experience with Python </p></li><li><p>Advanced SQL skills</p></li><li><p>Experience with at least one cloud provider (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)</p></li><li><p>Experience with docker and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)</p></li><li><p>Experience with workflow scheduling tools (e.g. Apache Airflow, Argo workflows, Dagster, Luigi)</p></li><li><p>Analytical acumen with a strong sense of urgency and ownership in your work</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and collaboration skills </p></li><li><p>Proven ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Greek and English (verbal and written)</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience with Columnar Databases (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift)</p></li><li><p>Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling (e.g. Terraform)</p></li><li><p>Experience with Git and implementation of CI/CD pipelines</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Go programming language</p></li><li><p>Familiarity in working with REST APIs</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in crafting ingenious solutions using limited resources</p></li><li><p>Basic knowledge of analytics concepts</p></li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>If you are happy, we are happy!
