The HR Manager role reports into the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for overseeing HR functions such as benefits & compensation, federal and multi state compliance, leave of absences, employee life cycle, and other processes and procedures for North America during a period of hyper-growth with the opportunity to manage 1-2 direct reports in the next few years.

You'll be:

  • Works cross functionally with the Global HR Team and North America leadership to build and drive consistency through processes and policies.
  • Manages all health and welfare benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, EAP, wellness, and 401k while ensuring compliance with company policies and state/province and federal government regulations such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA and COBRA.
  • Monitors and analyzes utilization of all benefit plans to identify trends, opportunities for cost control/avoidance and education. Provides recommendations for enhancements/changes to existing programs that are consistent with benefit objectives and strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manages new hire and annual open enrollment processes and develops employee communication materials to provide information and increase awareness and understanding of benefit programs.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with brokers, plan vendors, and TPAs.
  • Supports planning, design, administration, and execution of compensation programs from HQ. Ensures alignment of compensation strategy and programs, including various bonus plans and programs, with desired behaviors, outcomes and business objectives.
  • Knowledgeable and stays up to date with changes in federal and multi state/province HR laws and regulations and provides guidance and support to management and employees on HR compliance matters, including employee relations, wage and hour laws, and employee benefits etc., and routinely reviews and updates HR policies, procedures, and documentation for accuracy.
  • Develops and delivers training programs on HR compliance topics to ensure managers and employees are informed and aware of their responsibilities. Serves as the main point of contact for internal and external audits and regulatory inspections related to HR compliance.
  • Over sees the administration of the employee leave of absence policy and processes with extensive knowledge in the following areas: FMLA, ADA, Section 125, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS and FLSA.
  • Manages the employee life cycle, including but not limited to onboarding, retention, development, offboarding, and happy leavers.
  • Maintains employee records, ensures HRIS data integrity, makes necessary system configuration, and liaises with payroll.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and drives improvement of the delivery of services to employees, ensuring high levels of customer service and responsiveness.

You'll have:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including prior management responsibilities.

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Strong analytical, planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Quality Champion; drives quality improvement initiatives within the department and throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
