Bachoco USA is seeking a Security Officer Lead for our Fort Smith, AR location.
Work Schedule: M-F: 3pm-11pm
Summary: Leads shift security officers by direction and example. Enforces policies and procedures established for the department. Assists security supervisor in all aspects of the department assignments. Observes and reports all non-routine incidences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor’s activities and work assignments of security officers.
- Corrects unsatisfactory performance.
- Trains and retrains security officers.
- Recommends disciplinary action when necessary to Security Supervisor.
- Enforces access control policy and procedures.
- Always manages and maintains traffic control.
- Assists emergency personnel when arriving at the facility.
- Monitors all electronic surveillance equipment.
- Assists in sealing operations as needed.
- Checks incoming deliveries for proper seals, proper destination, etc.
- Notifies proper area of deliveries and/or visitors.
- Conducts escorts per request.
- Conducts and manages rover activities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Qualifies for company driver program & pass a background investigation.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 3 to 5 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license and qualify for company driving program.
