Job Summary
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to function as a member of the Pediatric Gastroenterology team at Primary Children’s Hospital. The team consists of 10 RN’s working with 4 NP’s and 21 MD’s. Responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients in-person, via phone, or via patient portal. Utilizes strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status; implements clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms; develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans and patient education materials to enhance and improve outcomes; and ensures a safe and therapeutic environment.
This position requires an on-site presence most days per week, but may allow for occasional telecommuting work, dependent on operational needs. The on-site days will vary each week depending on the assigned providers’ schedules. Job location is expected to be primarily at the Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital Salt Lake City campus, but may also require a few days per month at the Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital Miller Campus located in Lehi, UT or Layton, UT depending on clinical needs.
