Medtronic Surgical is hiring a Sr. Hardware Engineer to play a key role in the development and sustainment of capital equipment platforms, including electrosurgical generator systems.

You’ll join a collaborative capital equipment engineering team working on advanced surgical energy platforms and emerging technologies. Engineers on this team take strong ownership of their designs while working closely across a multi‑board system architecture.
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the design, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex digital hardware and circuit boards
Drive board design projects through completion, verification, and integration
Conduct hardware research, design, development, and testing of electrical components and systems
Develop technical specifications and ensure hardware reliability and performance
Analyze hardware configurations and verify designs meet system and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including systems engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and marketing
Provide hands‑on lab support for prototypes, troubleshooting, and production hardware
Approximately 20% of this role will focus on component library management, including:
Building schematic symbols and PCB footprints
