About the role

Reporting to the Providence Sr Manager Medical Staff Services, the Supervisor Medical Staff Services is responsible for the management of the medical staff offices at PCSTMC. This includes credentialing and privileging, peer review, medical staff related regulatory requirements, continuing medical education and fair hearing processes. The position is responsible for management of support services and resources assigned to the medical staff caregivers. The responsibilities include working closely with the Medical Staff President and other medical staff leaders, providing advice and support regarding organization policies/procedures, providing continuity and follow through in planning, development and implementation of organization goals and objectives. The Supervisor will serve as a liaison between the medical staff, hospital administration and hospital staff, as appropriate. The position has budget accountability and supervisory responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree healthcare, business administration or related field or equivalent educ/experience
  • 3 years experience in a lead or supervisory position in medical staff services.
  • 5 years experience in coordination with administrators, upper level managers, medical staff officers and physician practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), National Association of Medical Staff Services

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
