Associate Director, Product Management

Location: Foster City  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reporting to a Senior Director, Product Management Team Lead, and part of the larger Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) organization, the Associate Director, Product Management will serve as an individual contributor PM, working with our PDM Product Strategy Team Leads to support our portfolio of development & commercial products 

FOCUS AREAS 

• Serve as experienced PM for our portfolio of development & commercial products with deep PM experience, working in partnership with the PDM Product Strategy Leads to develop, gain approval for, and execute on the product strategy for our products, including key milestones, budgeting and resource allocation 

• Identify and share best practices across the Product Strategy Teams and across the PDM-wide PM network 

• Use and iterate on a set of templated tools and processes for the PDM Team System, e.g. tools for communicating risks, key product milestones and product budgets 

• Ensure project work complies with established practices, policies and processes. Identify and share best practices with the other Product Managers 

• Support complex product communications and ensure that all product ‘customers’ are fully informed and knowledgeable of product activities and their status 

• Organize preparation of high-quality documents for review by governance committee in collaboration with the PDM Product Team  

• Identify complex project issues which pose a challenge to achieving strategic goals for the Product Teams and then propose and implement plans to resolve such issues and execute corrective actions, with the PDM Product Strategy Lead 

• Support accurate and speedy PDM due diligence assessments as a PM so that the impact on PDM is planned and predictable 

• Support PDM Operations Management’s implementation and iteration of G.Plan (Planisware) and G. Plan product templates. Support the flow of accurate data into PDM milestone pl
