Schedule: Monday-Friday day/evening 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM onsite

About the Role

The Patient Family Liaison (PFL) is part of the Patient Experience Team at IU Health, serving as an advocate for patients by addressing their questions and concerns to help them navigate healthcare. They utilize active listening, situational awareness, and service recovery to enhance patient experiences. The PFL collaborates with facility leaders, patient relations staff, and front-line team members to identify and resolve issues related to patient experience, comfort, health equity, and care coordination. They work closely with patients and families to communicate with healthcare teams, ensuring concerns are addressed according to IU Health values. Additionally, they document actions taken and escalate concerns when necessary to ensure quality care and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-5 Years of Experience
  • Experience involving extensive patient/public contact and crisis resolution required.
