About the role:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the US Selling function for the Coronary Therapies (CT), Structural Heart Valves (SHV), Sales Operations, and Corporate Accounts (CA) sales teams. This highly visible position will work directly with Sales, Divisional, and Finance leadership on a consistent basis. The position requires an outgoing candidate that can work independently, while building strong relationships with business partners, to optimize financial planning, reporting, and analysis. Gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current, and future performance for management reporting. Performs financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and recommends appropriate courses of action. Responsibilities also include facilitating month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and analysis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Partner independently with the Selling organization and the Division Finance leaders.
- Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended, and current business information.
- Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.
- Prepare and distribute financial metric packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
- Present to upper management & business partners and provide guidance on variances and trends.
- Perform financial analysis and recommend alternative courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools and creative problem solving.
- Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.
- Develop and utilize sound financial processes and maintain effective control environment.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3 + years’ progressive experience in a similar role.
- Excellent technical skills (modeling, macros, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Hyperion, preferably SAP and VBA)
- Strong financial analysis, communication, organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adhere to tight deadlines, attention to detail
- Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation
- Holds self-accountable to a performance metric culture building performance excellence
- Team orientated
