The LBJ Women’s Campaign School (LBJWCS) at The University of Texas at Austin is a nonpartisan, issue-neutral leadership program that equips women with the skills, confidence, and network they need to run for office, manage campaigns, and create lasting political change. Through training, mentorship, and a vibrant alumni community, we’re empowering changemakers to step into political leadership—and we’re just getting started.

Purpose

This position will play a key part in advancing LBJ’s events, marketing, and program operations, while working closely with the Business Affairs, Communications, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

Program Coordination & Operations

  • Assist in planning and executing engaging virtual and in-person events for current participants, alumni, and the public.

  • Manage event logistics including venue booking, catering, travel arrangements, materials preparation, photography coordination, and payment processing.

  • Support course delivery and participant engagement through platforms such as Canvas and Chronus.

  • Assist with the LBJWCS mentorship program including mentor outreach, recruitment and matching.

  • Coordinate admissions operations and help onboard new class members.

  • Develop and improve internal systems to enhance day-to-day operations and program efficiency.

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, correspondence, , and travel coordination.

  • Assist in hiring and supervising student workers and interns.
