Accounting Senior Specialist

Role and Responsibilities

• Monthly Closing Activities -- Coordinate and perform monthly closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements. Work closely with cross-functional departments including HQ counterparts to gather, validate, and finalize expense-related entries (logistics cost, bonus, administrative cost, etc.) and accruals
• Accrual Management -- Collaborate with both the Finance department and other departments to manage and monitor accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy of cost recognition
• Audit Support -- Prepare and provide supporting documentation related to expenses, inventory, leases, and revenue for external and internal audits. Also co-work with HQ counterparts to support SK On group audits
• Journal Entry Review and Approval -- Review and approve journal entries submitted by AP team and other staff. supervise and provide guidance as necessary to ensure proper classification and compliance with accounting policies
• Lease Accounting -- Review lease agreements, evaluate accounting implications and perform proper lease accounting entries in accordance with IFRS 16
• SOX Compliance -- Support other departments in preparing and maintaining documentation required for compliance with SOX regulation and co-work with HQ SOX team to support SK On group SOX compliance
• Inventory Transaction -- Monitor and identify off-system inventory movements such as write offs, returns, and inter-departmental transfers. Record corresponding journal entries to reflect accurate inventory balance
• Footnote package and cash-flow statement preparation (quarterly)

 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/management or relevant field (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years of professional accounting/finance experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• The successful candidatemust be detail-oriented and possess excellent time management skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Korean language proficiency
• SAP (FI) experience
• CPA certification
