POSITION TITLE: Engineering Technician Level II - Electrician
DEPARTMENT: Engineering

REPORTS TO: Engineering Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including systems up to 600 volts. Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, including low-voltage control systems. Install new systems and equipment in compliance with the North Carolina Electrical Code.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, lighting, kitchen, and other electrical equipment
Maintain records of maintenance and repairs using computerized maintenance programs
Install new equipment and services as required
Assist in the fabrication of systems and components
Competent with multi-meters, circuit tracers, and power monitors.
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment, low voltage control systems, and systems with line voltage up to 600 volts
Assist with the maintenance, repairs, and operation of the Casino and Hotel facilities and equipment.
Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to the department supervisor(s) or manager
Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces, by providing input and suggestions
Respond to emergency and critical situations
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED is required
An Associate degree (Technical), or a Trade Diploma in Electrical, or an Electrical License equivalent to North Carolina’s 87-43.3. Classification of licenses, or 8 years’ experience as a Commercial, Industrial, Construction, or Military Electrician, is preferred
4 years of commercial, industrial, construction, or military electrical experience required. Apprenticeship experience considered
Valid NC driver’s license with no suspended, denied, or revoked driver’s license within the last 3 years required
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Extensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems, three-phase and single-phase, up to 600 volts
- Ability to troubleshoot and install 3-phase electrical systems and equipment up to 600 volts.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair low-voltage control systems
Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code; ability to install conduit, determine wire fill, and calculate loads
Proficient with multi-meters, power analyzers, and circuit tracers
Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and large switchboards
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and diagrams
Ability to use technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment
Ability to follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protection equipment
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Ability to work independently, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino and the surrounding property
Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items
Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
Must be able to work from ladders and aerial lifts
Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with hand and power tools
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
