The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, organizing, analyzing, and documenting requirements across project teams in support of strategic business analytics and data platform modernization initiatives. As a key liaison between the business units and the IT Data Management and Analytics department, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that the scope of work requested, including enhancements, defects, and new requests, is clearly documented, communicated, and validated. They should possess a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, data analysis, and interpersonal skillsWorking closely with analysts, engineers, architects and stakeholders, the Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying analytics solutions. The role also involves internal product ownership responsibilities for IT-driven products and may be asked to lead projects and mentor other Business Analysts.The ideal candidate is curious and driven, has strong analytical skills, and the ability to leverage their understanding of analytics technologies and its application to solve business problems.

Responsibilities
Business Analysis and Requirements Management
- Be the Key Liaison: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, capture requirements, and define key metrics that drive impactful decisions.
- Detail-Oriented Documentation: Create comprehensive functional, system, user, and reporting requirements, including Use Cases, Business Requirements (BRD), Logical Models, Process Flow Diagrams, Report Specifications, and Data Mapping & Flow Diagrams.
- Epic Storyteller: Document and maintain epics, features, and user stories, ensuring a seamless trace from scope through design, development, and testing.
Collaboration and Implementation
- Team Player: Collaborate with Developers, Engineers, and Architects to bring business/system requirements to life.
- Quality Champion: Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure thorough requirements-based testing.
- Hands-On Testing: Participate in the testing phase to ensure the final product exceeds business expectations.
- Project Prioritizer: Conduct feasibility analysis, scope projects, and work with the project management team to prioritize deliverables.
Analytical Support and Change Management
- Data Detective: Provide analytical support, including data collection, trend identification, data visualization, and result interpretation.
- Knowledge Sharer: Conduct workshops and training sessions to explain new systems or modifications to team members.
- Change Advocate: Play a crucial role in change management by defining the business case for change, assessing impact, and capturing/documenting requirements.
- Problem Solver: Conduct ad hoc analysis to investigate operational issues and contribute to establishing best practices, templates, tools, techniques, and partnerships.

Qualifications
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business or IT discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Requires 7 – 10 years of relevant work experience and growth; typically within IT or working in relevant positions within business units
- Prefer 4+ years experience as Business Analyst
- Prefer Certified Business
