Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Design & Installation Engineer. In this role, you will, design the installation of aircraft Mechanical Systems including but not limited to Hydraulics and Pneumatics Subsystems routing, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), fuel line routing, Escape System Subcomponent, etc.; conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the mechanical systems installations; create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies and installations
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical degree
- Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired skills
- Experience with metallic design
- Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
