Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Job Summary

As the Sous Chef for a premier corporate client at 1166 Avenue of the Americas, you will support the successful culinary operations of the executive dining program. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, generally starting at 6am (occasional evenings will be required). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Support the successful culinary operations including planning and menu creation, preparation, cooking, service
• Providing outstanding service to guests and clients
• Manage a culinary team of hourly associates
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.
• Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure, inventory, ordering
• Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Minimum of 3 years of related culinary experience
• Experience in fine dining, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, and/or related food service operations.
• Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including Excel.
