What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Manager, Weight and Inspections at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
- 5 years of weights and inspection experience
- Supervisory experience
- Available to travel up to 50% of the time
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include varying shifts and weekends
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Sales experience
- Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry knowledge and experience, including knowledge of hazardous materials and DOT rules and regulations
- Knowledge of behavior-based safety techniques

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide day-to-day management of regional staff and create work schedules
- Determine and coordinate training needs for both new hires and existing team members
- Review quarterly audit performance to identify discrepancies and errors in the inspection and correction processes
- Prepare and deliver corrective action reports to team and senior management
- Ensure team leads are providing mentorship and training to staff on key initiatives and programs to decrease exceptions and improve audit compliance
- Communicate and network with numerous other departments, outside vendors and State/County weights & measures departments
- Manage scale inventory and movement of scales based on need
- Coordinate network-wide projects
