Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector l is a position that facilitates verification inspection for the QC Laboratory within the plant.  This position supports the daily workflow and problem-solves deviations in the process and products to ensure consistent quality.  This position requires flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to manage in a dynamic work environment.

Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):

  • Support workflow through the QC Laboratory throughout the shift

  • Perform ALL Verification Inspection required on ALL standard ePTFE Product Families in accordance with cGMP and per our standard operating procedures

  • Perform testing in a scientific manner which ensures consistency and integrity of the testing and accurately represents the characterization of the lot

  • Understand tests performed, which includes the use of Instrons, Microscopes, Calipers, Calculators, and various other equipment/gauges

  • Accurately and successfully communicate test results and failure modes to MSE/QE

  • Other duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as a team player, perform as a self-motivator, communicate effectively, follow written procedures, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Read, write legibly, and understand English

  • Must have 20/20 correctable vision

  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, reach above head, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, push, pull, lift, and carry a minimum of 25 lbs. a minimum distance of 25 ft. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year quality control or medical device manufacturing related experience with a minimum of one-year quality control lab testing/product testing experience and/or possess technical measuring skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. 

Work Environment:
