Adv Practice Registered Nurse
Classification Minimum Requirements:Master's degree with a major in nursing or another health-related area. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.
Job Description:- Assesses and manages patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions utilizing appropriate consultation and established protocols.
- Establishes a plan of care with patient and family. Prescribes medications and/or recommends medications and treatments to patients within the scope of practice for an APRN.
- Facilitates patient/family participation in health and medical care providing information needed to make health decisions and choices (collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals).
- Operates within the scope of an APRN.
- Interprets evaluation and assessment results and maintains appropriate records.
- Provides trainings for families, staff, school personnel, therapists and professional organizations as requested.
- Participates in developing appropriate developmental outcomes and strategies as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
$90,000 to $106,400 annually depending on education and experience.
Required Qualifications:Master's degree with a major in nursing or another health-related area. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.
Preferred:- Master's degree with appropriate training as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
This is a time-limited position. Time limited positions are based on circumstances, such as funding sources, which control the length of time for which the position is available.
