JOB SUMMARY:
This is an Administrative Assistant I position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting Process, Revenue Accounting Unit. The incumbent answers the mainline phone, directs calls to appropriate staff, opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail, processes outgoing mail, scans documents, files, schedules appointments, achieves and attends staff meetings. The incumbent also enters changes in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX), specifically the Refund Case Management System. Additionally, the incumbent supports the operational goals of the process by analyzing workflow, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending and implementing process enhancements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years of administrative or clerical work experience.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
- An associate degree can substitute for the required experience.
PREFERENCES:
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $2,959.10 monthly/$35,509.24 annually.
