Global Application Manager Strategic Business Development - Lighting (m/w/d)

As a Global Application Manager, you will research and define new application fields and areas, along with the appropriate innovative lighting solution.

You are exploring new application segments and developing the strategic direction of innovative lighting solutions.


• IDENTIFICATION OF NEW APPLICATION FIELDS: You will research trends on both macro and solution levels. In doing so, you will network internally as well as with external customers, institutions, and platforms. You will identify potential innovation arenas (VoC), possible new markets, and solutions for new channels, subsegments, and regions.
• DEVELOP APPLICATION STRATEGY: You will analyze the lighting needs of our customers and applications. Based on this, you will derive an appropriate application strategy, along with a solution portfolio, marketing, and sales measures.
• DEFINE HOLISTIC LIGHTING SOLUTIONS: You will develop and define smart, innovative lighting solutions – fully encompassing lighting, controls, and both physical and digital services, challenging feasibility with internal stakeholders.
• ALIGN APPLICATION ROADMAPS: As a result of your application strategy, you will align with product management regarding development projects and with countries on their goals. In case of open questions, you will provide direction as the Application Manager.
• PUSH & SALE: On-site in the sales regions, you will present your new and holistic lighting solution concepts. Through this market segmentation and positioning, we offer our global sales team the opportunity to reach new channels, significantly boosting our revenue.

• LIGHTING AND APPLICATION EXPERIENCE: You bring several years of professional experience (at least 3 years) in the lighting technology, service, or controls field, along with an advanced understanding of applications.
• ANALYTICAL MINDSET & ECONOMIC FOCUS: You have a strong sense for profitability and successful business. You analyze, prioritize, and derive your application strategy accordingly. Additionally, you hold a university degree.
• SEAMLESSLY NETWORKED & HIGHLY COMMUNICATIVE: You are successful because of your excellent communication skills, exceptional networking ability, and capacity to bring people together, diplomatically and with subtlety, across all hierarchy levels.
• FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND GERMAN: You are fluent in both German and English, spoken and written.
• PROACTIVE & SELF-INITIATED: You impress with your solution-oriented, efficient, and remarkably organized working style combined with your exceptional independence in working.
• COMMITMENT & CURIOSITY: Personally, you impress with your strong motivation to implement new things. You are also curious, committed, and full of drive. You are 100% dedicated to what you do and are able to inspire employees and stakeholders.
• YOU ENJOY TRAVELING: You are willing to travel internationally.
