About the role

Description

As a key member of our Client Advisory Services team, this Manager position will participate in building our nonprofit advisory services practice in addition to having a strategic role in providing a variety of services to our business and governmental clients as well. Day-to-day responsibilities will involve providing accounting and advisory related solutions to our clients, and effectively leading and managing team members. This will include a keen ability to engage clients in a professional manner, passion for helping others, and a strong aptitude in both written and verbal communication skills.


 Responsibilities

  • Supervise full client engagements
  • Financial planning and analysis
  • Federal, State, and Local grant and fund reporting oversight
  • Forecasting and budget planning
  • Sales and use tax compliance, oversight, and audit support 
  • Oversight of external financial statement audit
  • Participation in business development and marketing efforts
  • Team oversight, development, and performance coaching

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Active CPA, CMA, or MBA
  • Minimum 8 years relevant accounting and business advisory experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years public accounting experience preferred 
  • Non-profit accounting experience
  • Experience in QuickBooks, Intacct, or NetSuite

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, personable, and patient
  • Previous experience in management and team oversight
  • Demonstrates ability to resolve complex client accounting issues
  • Servant focused mindset toward managing client relationships and team relationships
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to adapt to multiple businesses/industries
  • Ability to work overtime to meet client and firm needs
  • Effective stress management
  • Contributes to firm mission, vision, values, and goals; including DEI efforts
